A DOMINO'S driver has been taken to hospital following a two-vehicle crash in Astley Bridge.
The collision occurred outside Domino's in Blackburn Road, last night. It is understood a father and his son were in the second car.
Emergency services were called to the scene after a silver Toyota Yaris collided with a grey BMW X5.
One of the drivers, who worked at Domino's, was taken to the Royal Bolton Hospital.
Colleagues of the man — who is believed to be 21 years old — said the incident left them in shock.
They have wished the driver a speedy recovery.
Mohammed Natha, shift manager, said: "It happened right outside. I heard a loud bang and we went outside to help.
"When it happened we were just shocked.
"He had just left and was about to go out on a delivery.
"He has worked here for just under one year.
"We hope he gets well very soon and makes a speedy recovery."
A section of Blackburn Road was shut off by police.
A spokeswoman for Greater Manchester Police said: "Police were called at around 9.15pm to a two-vehicle collision.
"One of the drivers was taken to hospital."
A spokeswoman for the North West Ambulance Service said: "We were called shortly after 9.15pm to a two-vehicle collision.
"We took a man to Royal Bolton Hospital."
