A WOMAN was rushed to hospital on Saturday afternoon after she was hit by a car.
Ambulance services were called to the scene on Crown Lane in Horwich at around 5.45pm and paramedics treated the woman at the scene before taken her to hospital.
Fire crews from Horwich Fire Station were also called and the road was closed for around an hour.
The woman is not thought to have serious injuries and firefighters who arrived at the scene said she was "conscious and breathing" and was able to speak to them when they arrived.
Police also attended and are investigating the crash.
