Primrose Club 1974
WE asked if anyone remembered Ethel Price and Hilda Winstanley in the picture right.
The pair of singers led carol singing at the Primrose Club for Senior CItizens Christmas party at Lever Edge House, Bolton in 1974.
Hilda’s cousin, Julia Walsh called to say that she had recognised her family member, who lived in Alston Street and had been Hilda Maxfield before she married Ben Winstanley in 1935. The pair had two children, one who sadly died aged seven of the measles.
