A NEW debt solutions company is urging people with post-Christmas debt to not "suffer in silence".

Guide to Finance was opened in November 2018, in St George's House, by a number of experienced financial specialists.

They are hoping their town centre location will encourage people struggling with debt to visit the office and get the help they need.

One of the senior members of the staff in the new start-up is former Thornleigh pupil Rob McManus, who previously ran his own company REN Financial.

He said: "The good thing is because we're Bolton based, we're happy for people to come into the office and talk to us that way.

"There's not many debt solution companies who just allow you to walk in but it's more of a personal touch because a lot of people are worried about their debts and speaking to an actual person can be good."

Mr McManus works alongside Tina Gurr at the firm, who he met 12 years ago, working together in Bury.

She explained some of the solutions available to people suffering with debt.

"Our main solution is the IVA for people with more than £5,000 of debt. - with that we can give people legal protection and write off some of their debts.

"If you don't qualify for the IVA, we can look at debt management as well. Say somebody's currently paying out £300 a month, we'd be able to make it more manageable."

Mr McManus added: "Don't suffer in silence, there is help out there."

Walk-ins are welcome, alternatively you can call 01204 238977 or email cases@guidetofinance.co.uk.

The company's website will also launch on Friday Jnauary 11, and will be able to be found at: www.guidetofinance.co.uk
