MAGISTRATES have ordered a motorist to do 80 hours of unpaid work after he admitted failing to provide a blood specimen to police and driving without insurance.

Bolton magistrates heard how Mohammed Muhsin, aged 23, of Lever Street, Bolton, committed the offence while driving a VW Golf on Brownlow Way, Bolton, on November 14.

He was banned from holding a driving licence for 12 months and must pay £170 in costs and charges.

MAGISTRATES have ordered two men to undertake unpaid work after they admitted assaulting Connor Gallagher.

Deke Stewart, aged 30, and Thomas Stewart, aged 18, both of Dorchester Avenue, Breightmet, initially denied committing the offences on September 29.

Thomas Stewart also pleaded guilty to having a baseball bat in Dorchester Avenue and was ordered to undertake 100 hours of unpaid work as well as participate in 30 days of rehabilitation activities. Deke Stewart was ordered to do 60 hours of unpaid work and participate in 15 days of rehabilitation activities. Each defendant must pay £260 in costs and charges.

A WOMAN who racially harassed and used threatening behaviour to two people has been sentenced to 200 hours unpaid work by Bolton magistrates.

Amanda Baker, aged 32, of Crompton Gardens, Bolton, pleaded guilty to committing the offence, assaulting one of the victims and making threats to kill.

As well as the unpaid work, she was ordered to participate in 20 days of rehabilitation activities and must pay £170 in costs and charges.

MAGISTRATES have jailed a man for 20 weeks after he breached a restraining order by contacting a woman on Facebook.

Kurtis Wood, aged 23, of Fearnhead Close, Farnworth, also admitted possessing Class A drugs on January 3 and breaching a previously imposed suspended prison sentence.

Manchester magistrates also ordered Wood to pay an £115 victim surcharge.

A DRIVER who used a BMW without insurance or an MOT certificate has been fined £450 by Manchester magistrates.

The court heard that Thomas Tarrant, aged 28, of Manchester Road, Kearsley, committed the offences on Manchester Road, Clifton, on June 30 last year.

Tarrant was fined £450, six penalty points were added to his driving licence and he was ordered to pay £130 in costs and charges.

A MOTORIST who drove a Vauxhall Corsa without a licence or insurance, has been banned from the roads for six months and fined £880.

Csaba Vandorfe, aged 25, of St George’s Road, Bolton, committed the offences in Halliwell Road on October 22.

He was also ordered to pay £115 in costs and charges.

A MAN who damaged a water fountain and door lock belonging to the NHS on November 24 has been sentenced to an electronically monitored 8pm to 7am curfew for six weeks.

At Manchester Magistrates’ Court Gavin Andrews, aged 31, of Holbourne Avenue, Radcliffe, pleaded guilty to committing the offence.

The court also ordered Andrews to pay the NHS £600 in compensation for the damage.

A WOMAN who twice failed to provide police with the identity of an Audi driver suspected of committing offences has been fined by Manchester magistrates.

Zara Iqbal, aged 26, of Chorley New Road, Bolton, pleaded guilty to failing to provide police, on September 26, with the information and was fined £290, with six penalty points added to her driving licence.

She also admitted failing to identify the driver of an Audi S3 on October 30 and was fined £290 plus £115 in costs and charges.

MANCHESTER magistrates have sentenced a woman to a conditional discharge for 12 months after she pleaded guilty to using threatening or abusive behaviour in Bolton on December 29.

Hannah Harrison, aged 20, of Heathfield Drive, Bolton, was also ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge.

A WOMAN has been jailed for three weeks after pleading guilty to contacting a man and going to his home on December 23 in breach of a restraining order.

Ann Marie Barkess, aged 58, of Colewith Avenue, Bolton, also admitted damaging his vehicle fuel cap. Manchester Magistrates’ Court heard how she was already subject to suspended prison sentence for assaulting her victim and breaching a restraining order.

In addition to the prison sentence Barkess was ordered to pay £20 in compensation.

MAGISTRATES have ordered a man to do 100 hours of unpaid work after he pleaded guilty to applying Hugo Boss and Jimmy Choo logo to clothing and perfume.

Rameez Shahid, aged 30, of Campbell Walk, Farnworth, was also ordered to pay £1,084 in costs and charges.

A WOMAN has spent Christmas in prison after admitting possessing diamorphine in Bolton on December 23.

At Bolton Magistrates’ Court Lauren Banks, aged 26, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to committing the offence and breaching a suspended sentence and was jailed for 20 weeks. She must also pay a £115 surcharge.

MAGISTRATES have ordered a man to have treatment for alcohol addiction after he pleaded guilty to damaging an internal glazed door, worth £500, belonging to Stonham Housing on December 16.

At Bolton Magistrates’ Court Kevin Hampson, aged 32, of Wordsworth Avenue, New Bury, also admitted using threatening behaviour which was racially aggravated.

Hampson was told he must have treatment for alcohol addiction for six months and must also participate in 20 days of rehabilitation activities.

He was also fined £10 ordered to pay a total of £350 in compensation to his victims.

A MAN has been jailed for 14 days after he pleaded guilty to obstructing a police officer on Boxing Day.

At Manchester Magistrates’ Court Barry Lomax, aged 25, of Callis Road, Bolton, also admitted failing to comply with post-custodial sentence requirements.

In addition to prison, Lomax was ordered to pay a £115 victim surcharge.

MAGISTRATES have jailed a man for 18 weeks after he pleaded guilty to assaulting a woman on December 7.

The court heard that Leon Blears, aged 31, of Rochester Avenue, Bolton, has an extensive record for assault.

Blears was ordered to pay a £115 victim surcharge and a restrain order was made banning him from contacting his victim.

A MAN has been fined £300 plus costs and banned from holding a licence for 12 months after he was caught driving a car after using cannabis.

At Bolton Magistrates’ Court Nabi Saleh, aged 38, of Gregson Field, Bolton, pleaded guilty to committing the offence, on October 3, in a Toyota Yaris he was driving on Coe Street, Great Lever.

MAGISTRATES have ordered a man to do 150 hours unpaid work after he pleaded guilty to driving a VW Golf in Red Lane, Bolton, on December 10 while banned and without insurance.

Jonathan Grimshaw, aged 29, of Montrose Avenue, Bolton, was also told he must pay £85 towards prosecution costs and an £85 victim surcharge.

MAGISTRATES have banned a man from holding a driving licence for 12 months after he was caught using a car having taken drugs.

At Manchester Magistrates’ Court Daniel Kidd, aged 27, of Alexandra Road, Radcliffe, pleaded guilty to committing offences whilst driving a Volkswagen on Manchester Road, Kearsley, on August 19.

The court heard he had tested positive for having used cannabis and cocaine.

Kidd was also fined £400 and was ordered to pay £85 towards prosecution costs plus a £40 victim surcharge.

A DRINK driver who had consumed more than twice the legal level of alcohol has been fined £200 and banned from the roads for 18 months.

At Manchester Magistrates’ Court Binson Konickalbaby, aged 41, of Duncombe Road, Bolton, pleaded guilty to committing the offence in a Mercedes C220 on Derby Street, Bolton, on December 10.

A MAN who drove after he was banned from holding a licence has been sentenced to a conditional discharge for 12 months.

At Bolton Magistrates' Court Marek Berky, aged 30, of Croston Street, Bolton, pleaded guilty to committing the offence, driving without a licence and without insurance.

The court heard that he was caught driving a Skoda Superb on Punch Street, Bolton, on October 12.

Berky's driving record was endorsed with six penalty points and he was ordered to pay £105 in costs and charges.

MAGISTRATES have sentenced a man to a conditional discharge for nine months after he admitted damaging a woman's door in Bolton on July 2.

At Bolton Magistrates' Court Ben Webb, aged 26, of Hill Top Road, Worsley, was also ordered to pay £105 in costs and charges.

MAGISTRATES have sentenced a man to a conditional discharge for 12 months after he was found in possession of diamorphine on August 21.

Daniel Waddilove, aged 30, of Tavistock Road, Bolton, pleaded guilty to committing the offence and was also ordered to pay £85 in prosecution costs plus a £20 victim surcharge.

BOLTON magistrates have fined a man £250 after he failed to provide police with a breath specimen in Gillingham, Kent, on October 19.

Lee Maynard, aged 32, of Ruskin Street, Little Lever, pleaded guilty to committing the offence.

He was banned from driving for 12 months and was ordered to pay £115 in costs and charges.

A MAN has been banned from applying for a driving licence by Bolton magistrates for six months.

John Young, aged 25, of Corn Mill Drive, Farnworth, pleaded guilty to driving a Subaru Forester on Back Cheapside, Bolton, on October 18, without a licence or insurance.

He was fined £120 and ordered to pay £115 in costs and charges.

MAGISTRATES have fined a woman £40 after she was caught begging at Trinity Retail Park on September 20.

The case against Natalie Rigby, aged 42, of no fixed address, was proved in her absence.

She was also ordered to pay £30 in a victim surcharge.

A DRINK driver has been banned from holding a licence for 12 months.

At Bolton Magistrates' Court Niall Jamieson, aged 19, of Prince's Avenue, Little Lever, pleaded guilty to driving a Ford Fiesta on Crummock Close on November 18, after drinking more than the legal level of alcohol.

He was fined £275 and was ordered to pay £115 in costs and charges.

A MAN has been fined £125 by Bolton magistrates after pleading guilty to driving a Ford Fiesta without care and attention on Stoneclough Road on November 15.

Paul Greenhalgh, aged 20, of Hazelmere, Kearsley, was also ordered to pay £85 towards prosecution costs, £30 in charges and six penalty points were added to his licence.
