A MAN caught driving his vehicle with a provisional licence told officers he did not think he would be caught on a weekday.
Police said they saw the man leaving a town centre casino last night and stopped him.
After checking his licence they discovered he was driving using a provisional licence without appropriate supervision.
In a post on social media made after the event, officers claimed the man had said: "It’s a weekday, so I didn’t think the police would have caught me.”
The car, a green Peugeot 207, was then seized and removed by specialist recovery vehicles.
Owners of cars seized by the police have to pay a 'release fee' of up to £200 plus £20 a day in storage fees to have the vehicle returned.
