BRITAIN'S answer to Disneyworld could open in the next few years.

The London Resort, a huge theme park featuring rides, West End quality productions and the largest indoor water park in Europe could open as soon as 2024.

Plans for the resort also include thousands of hotel rooms, an art-house cinema and nightclubs. All alongside a huge offering of cafes and restaurants.

The project would also see efforts to protect the environment around the park, planned for Kent, improved flood defences and a new rail line to serve the resort.

The huge project has been in the works since 2012 and was initially going to be opened in partnership with Paramount Studios.

That deal collapsed in 2017 but The London Resort Holdings still has deals with the British Film Institute, the BBC and Aardman Animations (the creators of Wallace and Gromit), meaning a huge cast of characters and brands could be involved in the final park.
