A BOLTON MP has welcomed plans to streamline recycling.
The Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs put forward proposals to make sure the same items are recyclable regardless of area.
Currently recycling processes vary from council to council so an item you can recycle in one area you may not be able to in another.
Chris Green MP for Bolton West said: "It seems odd that at the moment the list of items that you can and cannot recycle changes from one area to another as this only puts people off recycling.
“This is why I welcome the government’s proposals.”
