HOGHTON Tower will creak open its gates for its latest season of ghost tours.
Silent torchbearers will take visitors through the darkened halls of what is believed to be the third most haunted house in Britain, and explain the ghostly happenings from across the centuries.
Among the legendary ghosts you may encounter are the black dog who haunts the Well House.
Visitors will also be invited to greet Angry Peter and stare into a painting where mysterious faces may reveal themselves.
The tours, which include a two course meal, take place at 5.30pm on January 18 and 25, February 1 and March 1.
Tickets cost £32 and organisers have advised the tour is suitable for those aged 13 and over. For further information call 01254 852986 or visit www.hoghtontower.co.uk
