TEMPERATURES are set to drop below freezing this week as cold weather hits the North West of England.
Met Office forecasters are predicting the coldest conditions to happen on Thursday when temperatures in Bolton could hit -2°C, although wind chill will make it feel more like -4°C.
Tomorrow is set to be one of the mildest days of the week, with highs of 8°C and the potential to reach 1°C if cold weather persists.
However, forecasters believe Bolton could be in for rain, beginning around 8am and continuing sporadically throughout the afternoon.
Later in the week conditions are set to be cloudy with a chance of showers.
