A CASUALTY was taken to hospital following a two - car collision in Westhoughton this morning.
The incident happened in Bolton Road at the junction with Manchester Road, near Tesco Express.
A spokesman for North West Ambulance Service said: “We were called to reports of a road traffic accident at 7.46am and one patient was taken to the Royal Bolton Hospital but their injuries were not classed as major.”
She added: “One ambulance, a rapid response vehicle and a senor paramedic attended the scene, along with police and the fire service.”
Bolton Road was closed for a period while the carriageway was cleared.
