SCENE: Market Street in Atherton
A MAN has been charged after another man was stabbed in Atherton.
Shortly before 4.15am on Monday, police were called by the ambulance service to Market Street to reports that a 31-year-old man had been stabbed.
He was taken to hospital where he is receiving treatment for a wound to his arm.
Kurt Grimshaw, aged 30, of Old Laurel Gardens, Hindley, has now been charged with section 18 assault and possession of an offensive weapon.
He was remanded in custody and appeared at Wigan Magistrates’ Court today.
