A COMPANY that was set up to work in the homes energy market is realising the success of a decision to move into the commercial sector.

Clique Energy Ltd was set up in 2014 by Thomas and Felicity Cushnahan to work in the Energy Company Obligation market delivering heating and insulation to domestic properties across the UK.

As UK energy costs continued to rise the couple realised the benefits of cost and carbon reduction within the industrial and commercial sector.

Now the company provides services such as Solar PV, Power Factor Correction, battery storage and energy monitoring.

These technologies allow businesses to reduce operational costs and in turn lower their carbon footprint, explained MD Tom.

He said: “At the start of 2018 with workload increasing we decided to add Phil McVan to the team. Phil acts as our commercial director and brings with him a wealth of knowledge from the energy sector.

“With over 30 years of experience, he has managed over £80 million pounds worth of renewable technology installations across the UK.”

The company has been awarded the ISO 9001 certification, an international quality benchmark.

Tom said the award was down to the company’s dedication and commitment to “meeting customers’ needs, operating efficient management processes and delivering consistent, good quality products and services”.

He added: “We are currently working with two global organisations, delivering energy consultancy at board level to give them a clearer understanding of the complicated UK energy market.

“We are also supporting this consultancy with the installation of various technologies to help mitigate their energy cost increases in the UK.”

An example was an installation which was commissioned at an Aluminuium Foundry in late December 2018 where the company supplied and installed two 2000kVa voltage regulation units which will give this client over eight per cent annual savings on electricity returning a sub two-year return on investment.
