AN expanding Bolton law company has opened a third office in the town centre.

Having outgrown their Mawdsley Street premises AFG LAW has opened an office at Canon Court, Institute Street in Bolton.

Director Carl Fletcher is based at Canon Court along with 15 members of staff from the property and family departments who have also made the move from Mawdsley Street.

The decision to take a third office was taken by managing directors Anita Boardman and Greg French who say they are delighted that their growth strategy is developing as planned. Since taking over the helm over three years ago, significant changes have been made from a complete overhaul of systems and suppliers to a robust training programme for all staff.

AFG LAW is a full service high street law firm established 121 years ago in Bolton. Mr French said: "We knew that the job we signed up for was a big one when we agreed to take over the running of the business.

"The firm was already very successful, but Anita and I saw many areas that we could invest in to make things even better. You could say we’ve totally re-laid our foundations!”

Ms Boardman added: "We’re extremely excited about our expansion into Canon Court.

"This is an excellent opportunity for AFG LAW to strengthen our presence in our home town where we are proud to serve the Bolton community.

"It’s also very rewarding to see the firm evolve as we grow and watch the departments flourish under the leadership of our fellow directors."

AFG LAW now has two offices in Bolton and one in Bury with seven directors and 55 staff.

They help clients with a variety of legal needs including house sales and purchases, accident claims, wills and probate, care proceedings, criminal law, employment law, family law and more. The company is LEXCEL accredited by the Law Society which means it has achieved the required standard of excellence in client care, case management and risk management — and it has to continue to work hard to maintain their accreditation.

It is also part of the coveted Law Society’s Conveyancing Quality Scheme and holds the premium Investors in People Gold Standard.
