KNIFE-wielding men forced their way into a Prestwich home and proceeded to threaten the resident in a terrifying attack.

During the ordeal, understood to have happened in Cuckoo Lane on Sunday night, the householder suffered a wound to their arm before the armed offenders fled the scene in a van.

However, nothing was taken by the intruders before they made off.

A Greater Manchester Police spokesman confirmed that they had received reports of a robbery at an address in Prestwich at about 8pm on February 3, adding: “Two males in possession of knives are said to have forced entry to the property and threatened the occupant. The occupant received a minor wound to their arm

“The males then fled, possibly in a white Ford transit van. Nothing was stolen.”
