A POPULAR town centre pub has reopened after a major refurbishment programme.
Hogarths, in Churchgate, has been shut for two weeks while the interior was given a full revamp, with new carpets, TV screens and lighting, as well as a special VIP room and a widened central space for screening sporting events.
England’s impressive World Cup success saw the venue filled with people, and new landlady Chantelle Barlow said the pub needed a “sparkle” after a busy season.
“It was just looking a bit battered and needed a revamp,” she said. “I’m excited to get going with it now.”
Richard Cleworth is part of Halliwell-based Silverglide Ltd alongside Tony Judge and Scott Hulm.
The construction firm was given a major boost when it refurbished Hogarth’s for the first time several years ago, and now the group travel the country working on similar venues.
Mr Cleworth said: “We’re over the moon with it, we’re really proud of what’s been done because it’s our home town.”
Hogarths is owned by national chain Amber Taverns, and is the company’s most popular pub. Gary Roberts operations director, said: “We are committed to investing in Bolton and investing in Bolton contractors.”
