YOUNG people simply shined when they took to the stage.

Joseph and his Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat was put on by the talented pupils at All Saints CE Primary School in Farnworth.

All the Key Stage Two children had a role to play — on stage and behind the scenes to create, what the head said was an “amazing show”. Rehearsals for the show got underway in December and certainly paid off.

Katie Hague, headteacher, said: “They were amazing, they sang all the songs and gave two performances.

“Children in Year One to Six were in the choir, we had a case of around 30 in the play. Children also got involved involved in the lighting and sound.

She added: “There were all absolutely fizzing after the first performance, because it makes such a difference having an audience there.”

Joseph was played by Danny Howells in Year Six, and the narrators were Annabel James, also in Year Six and Amirah Begg in Year Five. The children had seen the smash hit musical performed at the Albert Halls. And said Mrs Hague her pupils would not look out of place on the professional theatre.
