A SHOPLIFTER who assaulted a store worker has been jailed for 12 weeks.
At Bolton Magistrates' Court Vanda Evans, aged 31, of Beatrice Mews, Horwich, pleaded guilty to committing the offence at Lidl in Bolton on December 8.
She also admitted stealing meat, worth £426, from the store.
The court heard that Evans is a prolific thief.
In addition to the prison sentence, she was ordered to pay a £115 victim surcharge.
