TRAFFIC officers seized a vehicle on the motorway in Bolton.
A red Peugeot 308 was stopped on the southbound carriageway of the M61 for crossing the hatched markings in front of a marked police vehicle.
Greater Manchester Police's traffic officers confiscated the car after the driver was unable to produce their foreign licence of proof of insurance.
They later tweeted about their patrol: "A car was stopped on the M61 by #GMPSRTTpatrol for crossing the hatch markings in front of our marked X5.
"Driver was unable to produce their foreign licence or insurance. Vehicle awaiting recovery and driver reported for all offences.@NWmwaypolice"
