AN investigation into the death of a Breightmet mum is still ongoing.
This morning, five police vans remain at the Red Bridge Inn — two weeks after the investigation was launched.
Police sniffer dogs are also working in the Red Lane area, which is located on the border between Bolton and Bury.
Divers were also seen in Blackshaw Brook — the lodge behind the former pub — last night.
A white tent was set up at the scene yesterday. A JCB digger is also being used at the site.
Margaret Jean Smythe, also known as Maggie, went missing from her home in Breightmet on January 27.
A major search was conducted and a body was found near Red Lane on Friday, February 1. Police said that formal identification was yet to take place.
Christopher Taylor, aged 39 of Greenroyd Avenue in Bolton, has been charged with murder.
