THE famous Black Dyke Mills brass band returns to Bolton next month – along with Harry Potter.
The legendary Yorkshire band will be giving a special concert on Saturday, March 23 to boost the campaign to keep the town’s Victoria Hall open.
And, conducted by Professor Nicholas Childs, the band will be performing music from Harry Potter, Pirates of the Caribbean, James Bond, Count Basie and the 1812 Overture in an impressive, audience-friendly programme.
The concert begins at 7.30pm but Professor Childs has invited Bolton’s own award-winning Eagley Band and its conductor Chris Wormald to perform a pre-concert half-hour from 7pm. Tickets are £15 each, available from the Victoria Hall box-office, online at www.boltonmethodistmission.org.uk or by phoning 01204 522569.
None of the musicians is receiving any fees for this fundraising concert.
