There's always plenty of great things to do in Bolton, here's five for this week.
Reading group launch party
A NEW reading group is being launched this week.
Bolton Central Library is kicking off its Reading Friends group for those stuck in a reading rut. The launch will take place on Friday from 1pm to 3pm. The event is free and includes a buffet lunch.
All are welcome to meet new people, recommend reads and hear the written word brought to life.
Last chance for textile exhibition
THIS week is your last chance to see the textiles exhibition put on by University of Bolton students.
The Making Textiles exhibition showcases the work of students and staff who have used the Bolton Museum’s historic textiles collection as the starting point for the creation of new work.
The exhibition celebrates the town's history as one of the leading textile producers in the country.
The work will be in Bolton Museum every day this week from 9am to 5pm Monday and Tuesday and Thursday to Saturday, and 9.30am to 5pm on Wednesday. It's final appearance will be on Saturday.
A very important date
FALL down the rabbit hole this week with Alice in Wonderland at The Albert Halls.
The Joseph Purdy Productions rendition of the story promises a "magical, musical adventure" for fans of the classic tale of tea parties and Tweedle Dum and Dee. Shows begin on Wednesday at 1pm and will continue with matinees and evening shows until Sunday with the final performance at 3pm.
