THEY say your wedding day is one of the biggest days in your life but this was a special occasion in the history of Darwen.
This was the town's first wedding car in 1904 as the bride was Annie McNamara, who worked as a servant for Darwen mill owner Alec Eccles.
For her big day, her boss lent her his car and his home - the now-vanished Grange at Hollins Grove - fro the reception.
She married local lad Sammy Catterall, who kept wicket for Blackburn's East Lancashire Cricket Club for 21 years.
Separated by a bridesmaid, the couple are pictured in the back seat of the car.
