THAI boxer Colin Johnson hopes to make it a magnificent seven when he takes on Thijf Hoefs.

The unbeaten Tonge Fold fighter faces the toughest test of his fledgling career at Manchester's George Carnell H Leisure Centre on Sunday.

The 22-year-old has won his first six fights but will have his work cut out against the experienced Dutchman, who has never been beaten and won 15 out of his 17 fights.

"It will be a very good test for him," said coach Nigel Ashton, based at the Premier Thai Boxing Club in Bolton. "Hoefs is a very aggressive fighter who will keep coming forward."

Johnson hopes to use the bout as a warm-up for his clash with British No1, Mark Timms, at Bolton Wanderers' Reebok Stadium on November 25.
