THE force was with litter-pickers in Horwich.
A light sabre was among the many items they collected to fill 66 bags of rubbish.
Their haul also included a tent, two tyres and two footballs.
Volunteers tackled the area around Pickup’s Field and Green Lane Field, including Ormston Avenue, Pengarth Road, Castle Crescent, Brownlow Road, Douglas Avenue and St Anne’s Road.
The Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Horwich and staff from McDonald’s joined the team.
Details of next month’s community litter pick will be part of the Great British Spring Clean. To nominate locations contact Town Councillor Steven Chadwick who organises the events.
