SUPPORT by a Bolton company is helping a national charity help seriously and terminally ill children around the country.

Mis-sold investments’ specialists Goodwin Barrett, based on the Mikar Business Park in Great Lever, became involved with Wipe Your Tears last year after one staff member, Tricia Thompson, competed in a charity boxing match to raise funds.

She inspired fellow staff member Robin Beck to support Wipe Your Tears. Robin organised a tuck shop, fashion disaster dress down day and a Christmas jumper day which resulted in a £300 donation for the charity.

This has inspired all the staff to get behind Wipe Your Tears and further events, including an Easter Eggstravaganza and a charity fundraiser later in the year, are planned.

Commented Operations Director Michelle Barrett: “It’s been very heartening to see the staff back the charity so well. As a company, we have a track record of getting involved in charitable projects and Wipe Your Tears is especially worth supporting.”
