MORE than 2,100 people have already had their say on Greater Manchester’s masterplan for the future.

The consultation on the Greater Manchester Spatial Framework — a plan for homes, jobs and the environment up to 2020 — runs until March 18.

Events have been held around the region to show the public the plans, the next and last event in Bolton is on March 6 at Friends Meeting House, Silverwell Street from 4pm to 7pm.

Mayor of Salford and Greater Manchester housing lead, Paul Dennett, said: “We have always wanted this to be a plan for everyone in Greater Manchester and the only way we can be confident of this is by as many people as possible having their say."

The first draft of the spatial framework, published in 2016, garnered 27,000 responses.

Mr Dennett continued: “We listened to the response to the 2016 plan and have produced this radical redraft which will improve the city-region for generations to come."
