MORE than 30 cannabis plants have been seized by police following a drugs raid at a property in Breightmet.

Officers executed a warrant at an address on Barchester Avenue on March 1, where they found dozens of the plants estimated to be worth thousands of pounds.

Images released by the police from the drugs bust show the plants, which are a class B drug, surrounded by insulated walls and fans in the makeshift cultivation farm.

One person was arrested, police confirmed.

A post on the GMP Bolton North Facebook page said: "The Breightmet Neighbourhood Policing Team carried out a positive Drugs Warrant on Barchester Avenue, Breightmet on Friday 1st March 2019.

"Over 30 established Cannabis plants were seized resulting in a positive arrest and thousands of pounds worth of Drugs being kept off the Streets of Bolton/Greater Manchester.
