Broken-down vehicle causes motorway delays
A BROKEN-down vehicle on the M61 is causing delays this morning.
One lane is closed northbound on the motorway between Junction 5 for Westhoughton and Junction 6 for Horwich.
The disruption began at around 9am when lane one of three was closed to vehicles.
Transport authorities say traffic is coping well with the closure, although some delays are expected throughout the morning.
Heavy rain has caused flooding on roads throughout the North West this morning and the weather is expected to continue into Wednesday.
