DRIVERS are experiencing delays on the M60 in both directions due to a crash and broken down lorry.
An ambulance was called to the anti-clockwise carriageway of the M60 following a crash between Junction 15 for Bolton and the M61, the M6 North, Preston and Wigan, and Junction 16 for Salford, Kearsley and the A666.
The vehicles involved have now been moved to the hard shoulder on the bridge over the East Lancs Road. However, the crash is affecting traffic on the southbound carriageway of the M61.
Traffic is also slow on the M60 clockwise near to Junction 13 for Worsley, Leigh A575 and Swinton A572 due to a broken down lorry.
The vehicle has been moved to the hard shoulder and a recovery vehicle is in the process of removing the lorry from the motorway.
