"Upmarket yet affordable" cocktail bar to open this weekend

Cocktails & Co is located in Bradshawgate, in the venue which was most recently known as Riviera.

It is now under new ownership and around £25,000 has been spent on transforming the venue, ready for Saturday night's official launch party.

It has been an impressive turn around to get the bar open, with work only starting around two weeks ago.

Samantha Taylor, the general manager of Cocktails & Co said: "We saw the opportunity come up when Riviera closed. It's in a prime location and we knew with a little bit of TLC that we could give it a different feel.

"We walked into all the windows blacked out, the bar was too high for people to stand behind, and everything was black.

"We've transformed it from a dark, dingy venue into a light, airy, classy venue that people will hopefully want to go in to. "

Ms Taylor is hoping the venue can be both upmarket and affordable, with offers such as two freshly made cocktails for £8.

The bar will open its doors tonight for people to try ahead of the official launch party on Saturday.

She added: "We really want to give the people of Bolton an upmarket evening at a really affordable price.

"On Friday, we're inviting people to come along, taste the cocktails, we want feedback. If it's bad tell us, but hopefully it's really good and you tell all your friends about it. Then Saturday is our official launch party."
