AN EXHIBITION at Bolton Museum could be nationally recognised after it was shortlisted for a major award.
The Bolton’s Egypt gallery, and partners Leach Studio, have been shortlisted in the Permanent Exhibition of the Year category at the Museum + Heritage Awards.
The 17th annual edition of the award celebrates innovative and ground-breaking initiatives from museums, galleries and heritage visitor attractions across the UK and overseas.
Cllr John Byrne, executive cabinet member for culture, said: "We are delighted to be shortlisted, with our friends Leach Studio, for the Museum + Heritage Awards
“The museum has been breaking all records since it re-opened and attracting international interest. It’s up against some stiff competition but we’re all keeping our fingers crossed.”
Other attractions up for the award include the RAF Museum's Centenary Programme and Portsmouth Museum. The winners will be announced on Wednesday 15 May.
