PADDY McGuinness proved he was no plonker as he appeared with the cast of Only Fools and Horses The Musical for Comic Relief.

The Bolton comedian joined famous faces to host this year’s Red Nose Day TV extravaganza on the BBC on Friday for the first time in his career.

The evening was packed with tomfoolery as Paddy and co oversaw live comedy, sketches, music acts, fundraising films and more as they fundraised for great causes around the UK and the world.

The Only Fools musical is currently showing at the Theatre Royal, Haymarket.

Paddy also put the pedal to the metal this weekend as he appeared in the a trailer for the new series of Top Gear.

He is due to take over presenting duties alongside former cricketer Freddie Flintoff and former racing driver Chris Harris when the motoring show returns for a 27th series later this year.
