AN APPLICATION to change the conditions of Ikonic Nightclub’s premises licence will be heard by Bolton Council’s Licensing Committee later this month.

The venue has been closed in recent months due to ongoing “licensing issues” and various events have been cancelled including a PCW Wrestling show and an under 18s night.

An application to vary the premises licence was received by Bolton Council’s licensing team on February 11.

The club is looking to extend its opening hours to allow it to open until 5am every day and serve alcohol until 4.30am.

Also mentioned in the application are changes to the internal floor plan and a proposal to change the name on the licence to Ikonic, as it is still under the venue’s previous name of Oscars Bar.

There is also a mention about removing restrictions on having under 18s in the club, to allow for pre-arranged events such as the cancelled under 18s night.

The application form also states that an age verification system could potentially be installed at the entrance to assist staff when checking ID documents.

The hearing will take place at 10am on March 28.
