A TAKEAWAY chain has released a new pizza with a flavour combination you'll either love, or you'll hate.

Papa John's has announced it is launching a Marmite and cheese stuffed crust pizza.

They are being released two months after it introduced its successful "Marmite and cheese pizza scrolls".

Liz Williams, managing director of Papa John's, told our sister newspaper The Argus: "Following the huge success of our Marmite Scrolls earlier this year, we're extremely excited to spread the partnership beyond our side menu and into the crusts of our popular pizzas.

"Ingredient innovation is at the core of our menu and we're sure that the addition of Marmite to our cheesy crusts will be a huge hit."

A spokeswoman for Papa John's said the "hidden delight at the very edge of the pizza sees Papa John’s fresh, pillowy dough hand rolled around gooey mozzarella and topped with a heavenly helping of Marmite".

It will cost an additional £2.50 on top of the price of the pizza itself and will become available in all of the company's 400 outlets in the UK from March 25.

Papa John's plans to launch the pizza for eight weeks, ending on May 20.

The pizza chain has several stores across Greater Manchester, including on Bolton's Bradshawgate, Bury Old Road in Prestwich, and Washway Road in Sale.
