A DANCE academy has enjoyed a successful start to the new season.
Atherton-based SDZ Dance Academy’s under 14s group Elite Nation and its under 16s and overs, Re Born, won their categories at the Hip Hop UK Dance Competition at Wythenshawe Forum.
There were also four individual wins with Harry Beckinsale triumphing in the under 10s intermediate category and Ruby Ayers winning the beginners category.
Amanda Ellison won the set routine in the adults and Jessica McCarthy came out on top in the adult and junior duet.
Lacey Tran and Emma Heaton also performed well in their categories.
The academy’s other groups also competed on the day.
The Mini Mojos finished third in the under 8s beginners category and the Toxic Babes finished in fourth place in the under 12s intermediate category.
The competition took place on Sunday, March 3.
The academy is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year.
