READING The Bolton News on Tuesday, I was disgusted with the article regarding the giveaway of taxpayers' money to certain charities.
Most of the giveaway for certain causes is needed, but to give more than £2 million between 2005 and 2013 to the Bolton Council of Mosques is ridiculous.
If it is in a position where it wants to build huge mosques, it should pay for the luxury itself.
I, for one, don't want my hard-earned money on such luxuries when our roads are in dire need of repair — which the council says it can't afford.
As for saying that the charities do litter picking, the should have a walk around Bolton's back streets. There's not much litter being picked from them, just plenty being made.
Get your priorities right, Bolton Council, and do what needs to be done, or I, for one, will refuse to pay my council tax on unwarranted causes.
