INSPIRATIONAL Morgan

Parry is passionate about

Wanderers.

And the young fan, who has cerebral palsy, is passionate about getting as many disabled people as possible to enjoy the game too.

Now, the life-long fan, who has been attending Bolton games home and away for 15 years, is celebrating after being appointed an ambassador for Level Playing Field, a charity dedicated to improving experiences for disabled sports fans.

Morgan’s father, Stephen Parry said: “We’re very proud.

“He’s very pleased as well, he’s very into his football.

Morgan is able to get to games in his wheelchair and uses a special communications device to plan for games and talk about the matches he sees.

He has been supporting the campaigning work of Level Playing Field and the Centre for Access to Football In Europe (CAFE) to improve the experience of fans with disabilities who want to attend live football and other sporting events.

Mr Parry added: “In the summer, Morgan and I went to the World Cup in St Petersburg and as a result of that, they asked him if he’d be involved in some research project for UEFA and FIFA to understand the experience of both able bodied and disabled fans.

“That report will help with the planning of future major international football tournaments and was actually asked to do a short presentation at the third International CAFE Conference in Bilbao in November 2018.”

The conference was held in Athletic Bilbao’s stadium and Morgan was able to highlight the need for changing place toilets in all stadia.

Morgan also showed how Bolton Wanderers have supported him to travel to away games by providing an accessible official supporters coach with local company Tyrers.
