HOARDINGS around the Octagon Theatre briefly came down yesterday, giving the people of Bolton more of a glimpse at the ongoing construction works.
The hoardings were taken down and replaced by yellow netting around the perimeter.
Octagon Theatre is undergoing its biggest transformation project since it opened in 1967.
The £10 million Octagon Reimagined project is the first part of the town's masterplan.
It is set to transform the building, update backstage facilities, increase accessibility and much more.
Octagon released an update on their website last Monday, saying that preparations were being made for steelworks to commence.
The latest work included laying the foundations for the new building in the ground before the cranes arrive and the steel structures are to be installed.
The theatre is due to reopen in early 2020.
