FOLLOWING the allegations against film producer, Harvey Weinstein and the uprising of the #MeToo movement, the focus on Sexual Harassment has spread not only to encompass individuals but the companies to which these individuals belong.

Responsible employers must examine what this means for them, so sexual harassment in the workplace will be the focus of a seminar the the University of Bolton next week.

KBL is collaborating with Safeguarding Today and HR Dept Bolton to provide what the company says will be a practical and realistic insight into the issues surrounding the issue.

A panel of speakers will help equip businesses on a subject which can prove costly in terms of financial risk and reputation.

They are Sarah Collier, head of employment, KBL Solicitors LLP, Jennifer Smith, director, Safeguarding Today Ltd, who has 15 years criminal justice experience as a Barrister and former Crown Prosecutor, specialising in sexual offences and child protection, and Karen Pilkington, director, HR Dept.

The interactive conference promises to be packed full of practical examples, and is designed to help attendees learn to identify potential sexual harassment issues before they occur and apply their acquired knowledge to correctly handling sexual harassment issues and complaints.

It will be held on Wednesday, April 10 at the National Centre for Motorsport Engineering, University of Bolton, Deane Road, Bolton, BL3 5AB

The conference starts at 8am for registration and breakfast, 8.30am conference followed by Q&A session, finishing at around 10am.
