BOLTON'S newest B&M opened last week.

On Thursday the new store in Bury Road, Breightmet opened to much fanfare.

The new staff team chose Breightmet charity Heartlift to be their special guests, helping to open the store with Mayor Cllr Elaine Sherrington.

Heartflift were also given a £250 donation as part of the opening.

The store manager, Jennifer Dixon, said: “The new store has been really busy since the doors first opened on Thursday and feedback from customers has been great so far.

“A huge thank you to Heartlift who helped us open the store, we hope that our donation can help them continue the outstanding work they do for the local community.”

The former Poundworld store has undergone an internal and external refurbishment programme and created 60 new jobs for local people.

It is the second B&M to open in Bolton recently.

Earlier this month one opened in Burnden Park Shopping Centre.
