FIREFIGHTERS tackled a chip pan fire at a block of apartments in Horwich last night.
Crews were called to Kiers Court, in the Arcon Village, at about 10.40pm to reports of the blaze.
A man had managed to get out out of the smoke-logged flat before they arrived.
No one was hurt, although the man received treatment for smoke inhalation and slight burns.
Crews from Horwich and Bolton North worked at the scene for about an hour and a half, putting out the fire before cleaning up.
