If not, then you might enjoy tonight’s talk at Horwich Heritage.

Lavinia Todd will be speaking about the Tudor origin of today’s words in a fascinating presentation that begins at 7.30pm in Horwich Community Centre.

For fans of Who Do You Think You Are? who would relish investigating and researching their own family history, then Horwich Heritage Centre in Beaumont Road, is the place to be on Saturday.

Between 10am and 1pm experts from Horwich, Bolton, Westhoughton, Blackrod and Chorley will be available to help with your family history enquiries.

Admission is free and everyone is welcome.

Horwich Heritage will also be presenting Murder on the Moor at the Blundell Arms on April 17.

On the Go Theatre Company will be re-enacting the trial of James Whittle on the 180th anniversary of the notorious event.
