COMPLAINTS have been made after travellers arrived in Radcliffe.
A number of caravans pulled into the car park opposite Dunelm yesterday.
About seven caravans are currently parked at the site in Green Street, which is owned by the store.
It is understood that Dunelm's private bailiffs have been called to remove the unauthorised occupiers.
Landowners have the right to remove trespassers from their land. This right can be delegated to a landowner's agent.
A spokesman for Dunelm said: "We are aware of the situation and have been in contact with the relevant authorities.”
Bury Council had to apply for a court order to evict travellers from the same site in Christmas 2017 after members of the public were attacked by a dog associated with the camp. The dog was seized by the police.
Another encampment was set up in April 2018.
