A NURSERY in Bolton has done its part to protect the lives of its little ones.
Busy Bees Acorns in Horwich installed a defibrillator during Family Safety Week earlier this month.
To mark the installation of the defibrillator, the nursery are completing activities on safety around the home and are also teaching the children basic first aid and what to do in an emergency.
The defibrillator, provided by Cardiac Science, will safeguard children, staff, parents and visitors in the event of a cardiac arrest. It operates with voice and text instructions.
Joanne Wood, the nursery manager, says that the machine can not only be used for people inside the nursery, but could be used to save the lives of those nearby if necessary.
