A DRIVER has been arrested after failing a roadside drug test.
Traffic officers stopped the male driver of a black Punto in Walkden this morning.
Police said they discovered he was "dropping his friend off after a night out."
The vehicle was stopped in Manchester Road at about 7.30am.
The motorist failed a roadside drug test, testing positive for cocaine, and a plastic bucket filled with cannabis was also discovered inside the car.
Greater Manchester Police's traffic officers tweeted about the incident at 11am: "We stopped the driver of this Punto in Manchester Road, Walkden, at 7.30 this morning.
"We found he was dropping his friend off from a night out.
"The driver failed a roadside drug test, coming back positive for cocaine, and a quantity of cannabis was found in the car.
"The man was arrested."
