Mothercare building 1973
BOLTON town centre has always been evolving, as this picture testifies.
It was taken back in September, 1973 and shows the building which now houses Barclays bank, being constructed.
Back then the building was being created to accommodate a new branch of Mothercare. Fast forward 46 years and plans are afoot to completely remodel Crompton Place, top of the picture.
