EVERY 15 minutes someone in the UK is diagnosed with bowel cancer.
Young, old, male, female — the disease can affect anyone.
Bolton MP Sir David Crausby is backing Bowel Cancer UK's campaign #thisisbowelcancer to spread the word.
The campaign wants to shine a light on the varied people affected.
Sir David said: "Raising awareness of bowel cancer is really essential to saving lives. Nine in every ten people survive if they are diagnosed early."
The symptoms can include, blood in your poo, persistent change in bowel habit, unexplained weight loss, extreme tiredness, a pain or lump in your tummy. If it doesn't feel right see a doctor.
