A MAN has been arrested after driving his car into a field.
The Citroen Berlingo car lost control on Platt Lane, Westhoughton on Sunday evening.
Nobody was believed to be hurt but police were called after the car ended up in a farmer’s field.
The driver was given a roadside breath test and provided a reading of 76mg/100ml of breath - more than double the drink drive limit.
GMP Traffic tweeted: “The driver of a Citroen Berlingo lost control on Platt Lane Westhoughton resulting in his vehicle ending up in a farmer’s field.
“He failed a roadside breath test and in custody provided a reading of 76.
“He will be interviewed in the morning about the RTC.
“Court date awaits.”
