AN angry mother who spent a month waiting to be reimbursed for her daughter’s cancelled birthday party has been told to try and get the money back from her bank instead.

Jane Bullock claims the owners of Yusha Ninja play centre originally told her they would reimburse the £30. But yesterday, after Ms Bullock spoke to the Bolton News, the play centre's manager Kieron Marsh contacted|her.

"He urged me to try and claim the money back from my bank instead because he said it will take Yusha Ninja a long time until they can arrange for their insurance company to reimburse me," said Ms Bullock, who paid for the booking by credit card.

"He said around 50 other customers in the same situation had successfully been reimbursed by going through their bank."

Yusha Ninja, located at Trinity Retail Park, was forced to close on March 24 after a fire.

Earlier this month it announced it had ceased trading.

Ms Bullock said: “I made a booking in March to hold my daughter Daisy’s ninth birthday party at Yusha Ninja in April.

"I did it in advance because she loves it there so she was very disappointed that it was cancelled. She had her heart set on it.

"I understood the problem the fire caused but I don't know why they only bothered to contact me once they knew I'd been in touch with the Bolton News."

The Bolton News emailed and twice telephoned the company for a comment but they did not respond.
